For many years I have loved to capture the nature around me on photos. While I only used my cellphone camera at first, in 2018 I also got to know how to handle a real SLR camera. Since then I’m almost obsessed with it and I can not stop taking pictures.
You're my Butterfly
Just as I arrived at the highest point of Wachenberg (only 400 m above sea level ?), I found this little fellow sitting on his rock. As if he wanted to say: "Welcome to my place, buddy! Want to take some pictures?"
Back in my German hometown, Weinheim, I couldn't wait to grab our camera and climb up to the old castle ruin Windeck to take some pictures of the sunset. It will still take some time for me to really arrive here after such a long time in Argentina.
Weinheim - The City of two Castles
That's the reason why my hometown Weinheim is also known as the "City of two Castles" (Zweiburgenstadt): There are two beautiful castles with a fantastic view over the Rhine plain. And there's also the City-Park with a medieval city wall and watchtowers.
I can hardly imagine a tree more beautiful than the GINKGO in autumn, when its leaves are bright yellow. This giant tree stands in the Weinheim City Park, is about 180 years old and over 20 metres high. Especially for me: its leaves are usually the most wonderful around my birthday in November!
Sometimes you walk past a place you've seen a thousand times before. You don't expect anything special. But suddenly you realize that the place unfolds its full beauty at exactly this time of the year and day.
On my 35th birthday I gave myself a present: I decided not to plan a party and instead went hiking with my friends. It was cold and cloudy, but from Schloss Auerbach we still had an impressive view of the Wachenburg in Weinheim.
Heppenheim at night
What a great way to welcome your evening off and the weekend: Climb the Schlossberg in Heppenheim, shake off the many thoughts of the day and take some nice photos!
The Tree of Life
We can learn so much from the trees: In autumn they simply throw off their leaves because they cannot supply them with nutrients. We, on the other hand, try to maintain the same level of activity all year round and wonder why we feel tired... (walking in the Schlosspark in Weinheim, Germany)
