For many years I have loved to capture the nature around me on photos. While I only used my cellphone camera at first, in 2018 I also learned how to handle a real SLR camera. Since then I’m almost obsessed with it and I can not stop taking pictures. In 2019 I finally bought a mirrorless camera from Sony (Have a look at my first photo trip with the Sony α 6000). The functions that such a camera offers are just perfect for my purposes! Have a look at my portfolio with pictures from all over the world:
When moon- and sunrise take place in approximately the same direction and with only one hour difference... An incredible feast for the eyes!
Château de Hohenbourg
When I arrived at the Château de Hohenbourg at night, I met a French dad there with his two sons. They lay on their sleeping mats on top of the tower and looked at the stars. I realized how a smile spread on my face: I thought of countless nights with my dad and my brothers in Patagonia... Camping at a mountain lake, cooking over a campfire, starry skies and just awe for nature!
Collecting Sunrises
Since I've become a photographer, I've seen more sunrises and sunsets than ever before. I notice how I usually instinctively know where the sun will touch the horizon, depending an the time of the year... I have the impression to be in close contact with the rhythms of nature and that is a wonderful feeling!!! ... Do other photographers feel the same way?
Krappenfels
It is assumed that the Krappenfels Rock, near Wingen (France), served as an observation post for the nearby castle Château de Lœwenstein. That makes sense, considering the incredible view over the hilly forests of Alsace! In the distance, by the way, you can see the castle ruin Château de Fleckenstein.
