For many years I have loved to capture the nature around me on photos. While I only used my cellphone camera at first, in 2018 I also learned how to handle a real SLR camera. Since then I’m almost obsessed with it and I can not stop taking pictures. In 2019 I finally bought a mirrorless camera from Sony (Have a look at my first photo trip with the Sony α 6000). The functions that such a camera offers are just perfect for my purposes! Have a look at my portfolio with pictures from all over the world:
Schlüsselfels
Something I love about Germany is that at particularly beautiful viewpoints or resting places there is usually a comfortable seat that invites you to linger. You could sit on the Schlüsselfels Rock for the whole afternoon and look into the distance - you will certainly not get bored!
Burg Trifels
⠀"Ah, our radiant days⠀ Sparkle like eternal stars.⠀ As a solace for future lamentation⠀ They glow from the golden distance.⠀ Do not weep because they are past!⠀ Smile, because they once were!"⠀ ⠀ Translation of a German poem by Ludwig Jacobowski (1868 - 1900) - Original: "Leuchtende Tage"⠀
Rehbergturm
Even if it is difficult to climb a tower at the top of a mountain at 5:30 in the morning - it is always worth it! That way I was able to welcome the sun of a new day with stunning views of Trifels Castle.
Daybreak at Rötzenfels
It is always a wonderful gift to experience the daybreak outdoors in nature.
Poplar Trees
When I go to a spectacular and well-known photo spot, everything is usually well planned and prepared. But there are also some rather inconspicuous places that only show their photogenic qualities at a certain time of the year or day. When I discover such a place, it's really very special for me!
The constellation of Orion
Last night I spent some time looking at the starry sky. Besides the magnificent Venus, I also noticed the constellation of Orion. It is named after a hunter in Greek mythology. Its brightest stars are blue-white Rigel (Beta Orionis) and red Betelgeuse (Alpha Orionis).
Sühnekreuz
This morning I walked to a particularly beautiful place to have breakfast. For getting up that early I was rewarded with the most breathtaking colours and a heart-filling light. I hope this photo will give you some feeling of that precious moment...
Untere Bärenhöhle
Sitting by a waterfall and listening to the rushing splash of the water is one of the most beautiful forms of meditation for me.
Obere Bärenhöhle
The "Bärenhöhle" (Bears' Cave) is the largest natural rock cave in the Palatinate Forest. At the deepest point of the cave a small stream emerges from a crevice in the rock. Finds of arrowheads and bones indicate that it was already inhabited by humans 8000 years ago. Could you imagine living in here?
Venus over Trifels Castle
This week I spent the night at Trifels Castle. While the sun slowly set on the horizon and the first stars began to glow, the view was simply overwhelming. Venus shone the brightest, slowly wandering over the majestic landscape. The night was very cold with -2°C, but I had a good sleeping bag with me.
Trifels Castle
If it were up to me, all days could be like this: hiking and taking pictures from early morning until late at night and then being rewarded with such outstanding moments and places.
